DAY 1

Visit the Fondachello promenade, where you will find the Iceberg Bar to enjoy granitas, brioches and other Sicilian specialties such as the famous cannoli or homemade ice cream. There is also a convenience store to stock the apartment with some supplies. The beach is free but there are various beach establishments nearby, while towards the south there are several restaurants.

Restaurants nearby:

• THE COUNTY OF MASCALI

Mascali is a city reborn from lava; in fact it was destroyed by a volcanic eruption in 1928 and then rebuilt further downstream. A place worth visiting is the Church of San Leonardo Abate, opened to the public in 1935 after reconstruction. The feast of the patron saint San Leonardo falls on November 6th and is accompanied by days of celebrations and stalls.

•In the town there is an excellent typical Sicilian rotisserie and bakery

-Resort activities

-Enjoy some relaxation in the pool, without having to worry about your children. The Resort is completely closed and fenced, and for them there is also an area dedicated to table tennis and table football.

DAY 2

• THE Alcantara gorges

How about organizing some trips to visit the Alcantara Gorges? It is a river carved directly into the volcanic rock, which you can reach by car or by hiking. At the gorges it is possible to swim and even go bodyrafting. Furthermore, inside the park there is an area dedicated to children.

• Evening walk to Torre Archirafi

An ideal destination but not too demanding reachable by car is Torre Archirafi, an ancient fishing village. During the summer, locals love to walk along the coast and stop in one of the many bars and restaurants to drink, dine and spend a pleasant evening with friends.

DAY 3

• relaxation time

Today we suggest you take it easy, after all it's a holiday, spend the morning in the pool, sunbathe and enjoy some rest, later you will have to prepare for a destination known throughout the world, namely Taormina.

The swimming pool has Jacuzzi or VIP bed services, access can be purchased at reception.

• Taormina

Taormina is a beautiful city both day and night, but we highly recommend visiting it in the afternoon and evening.

It is easily reachable by car or taxi, in Taormina there are two large paid car parks. (Do not park outside the car parks because it is prohibited)

Here you can enjoy the panoramic view of the coast from Piazza IX Aprile, explore the old villages and go shopping in the luxury shops.

The walk is very pleasant and is frequented by tourists; take the opportunity to take some photos in the charming narrow alley of Taormina with the fountain in Piazza Duomo or visit the Travelyan Park in the municipal villa of Taormina.

If you decide to come back for dinner, it wouldn't hurt to order a pizza.

DAY 4

• Exploring Sicily

Good morning, today we offer you several   goals to visit:

• Catania

The city of Catania offers many attractions to see and visit. First, there is the famous elephant square, followed by the obligatory fish market stop. This is not just an ordinary fish market, but an authentic experience. The scents and colors will win you over. You will also be able to taste numerous street foods prepared with the freshest fish and come into contact with the true soul of the people of Catania.

The Massimo theater cannot be missing from the list of the main things to see in Catania. It was inaugurated in 1890 with "Norma" by the Catanese composer Vincenzo Bellini, to whom it is dedicated. The most important opera performances of the Etna city take place here. The theater was designed by architect Andrea Scala and is inspired by the French style of the Second Empire, which recalls the Opéra Garnier in Paris.

Continuing up to Via Sant'Anna, you can visit the house where the realist writer Giovanni Verga lived together with his family on the second floor of the civic building number 8. The building was purchased and restored by the Sicily Region when the last heir of the Verga family passed away. In 1980 it was transformed into a literary museum which preserves the original furnishings, the writer's library consisting of approximately 2600 volumes and some copies of Verga's manuscripts ."

• butterfly house

Via Dietro Serra, 6, 95029 Viagrande CT

The Monteserra Butterfly House is an exceptional installation in Southern Italy, which presents itself as a vast tropical greenhouse in which hundreds of butterflies from the most beautiful and spectacular species on the planet can fly freely. Their diversified shapes and colors surprise visitors.

• milo adventure park

Via Acque del Vescovo, 41, 95022 Milo CT

Located in the pine forest of the Scarbaglio Park in the municipality of Milo, the Etna Adventure Park is made up of a series of acrobatic routes in which you walk suspended between the trees. The routes vary in height, difficulty and commitment required. These are recreational-sports activities that can be undertaken independently and in total safety under the constant supervision of our instructors. Here you can test your balance, speed, ability to overcome obstacles and desire for adventure."

• Syracuse

Famous throughout the world for its Greek theatre, the immense Archaeological Park and the enchanting island of Ortigia, this city is certainly one of the most popular tourist destinations in Sicily. The oldest part of Syracuse, the most "historic" historic center of the city, is actually located... on an island! Ortigia is connected to the mainland by two bridges: Ponte Umbertino and Ponte Santa Lucia. Here there are numerous important monuments and museums, along with many restaurants and clubs. It is the ideal neighborhood from which to start to discover the city and where to return at the end of the day. Arethusa was a beautiful nymph (of course). The god Alphaeus fell in love with her when he discovered her naked while bathing. Arethusa did not seem particularly enthusiastic about the god's advances: she fled to the island of Ortygia in Syracuse where Artemis transformed her into a source of fresh water. The "official" (less glamorous) explanation for why there is a source of fresh water a few meters from the sea concerns the local characteristics of water infiltration into the ground... but this doesn't matter so much. The circular fountain represents one of the symbols of Syracuse and is adorned with green papyrus plants growing around it. (Alpheus, however, ended quite well: he was transformed into a river in Greece and travels across the Ionian Sea every day to reunite with his beloved fountain-nymph).
